Glenwild Golf Course, Park City Utah

Wow! Who knew you could get a beautiful home in Glenwild for $1,249,000!
The finished area is small, just over 2100 sq ft, but what a great way to get into this high end private golf community for considerably less than most homes in Glenwild.

Glenwild has been voted "BEST IN UTAH" by Golf Digest and is just minutes from Park City's Main Street and the 3 ski resorts. Glenwild has 950 acres of pristine golf course surrounded by only 200 homes. Glenwild has beautiful views of Park City Mountain , Deer Valley, The Canyons and the Uintah mountains depending on which direction you are facing. It is surrounded by Park City's wonderful trail system, perfect for biking and hiking when you are not golfing. Homes there range from the one mentioned above at $1,249,000 to almost 8 Million dollars. Average sales price pulled from all closed sales - boom time and now- approx 3 Million.

Interested? Check out the link below and contact me if you have any additional questions.

The Canyons Gondola and Beach progress pictures

Showing property at The Canyons yesterday - again. Westgate whole ownership condos and Silverado whole ownership condos. Both at great prices.

This time I took pics. Not great pics, but good enough to see the progress of the 2 biggest changes at The Canyons.
The new Gondola towers are under construction. We decided the only way the new Gondola path will work is for it to make a turn at this new tower to the new base. We'll see...

The new Gondola base and Beach. The concrete footings have been in for a while, but now they are preparing the area for the beach and placement of the new Gondola base. Still no sign of the heated domed chair. On my next hike from Sun Peak area I will check out the far side of The Canyons to see if anything is completed. Check back for updates!

The Canyons Golf Course Official Ground Breaking

Finally! It has been at least 10 years in the making. Way back in 2003 I heard about this golf course in Park City at The Canyons for the first time. My husband writes for Golf Vacations Magazine golfvacationsmag.com and was invited to Park City to write an article about the soon to be Canyons Golf Course. Well, as you can guess the golf course was delayed, and delayed and delayed.

If you wish to take a look at all of the history, infighting and drama go to parkrecord.com and search for The Canyons Golf Course. It will read like a soap opera. I knew Talisker would get the job done. All those years of waiting and poof! Talisker buys the resort, golf course goes in.

From a Real Estate point of view, homeowners and Realtors alike have been waiting for this golf course to happen. Just the fact the golf course is official should get some buyers off the fence and feeling like they are getting in at a great time - before the rest of the world figures out The Canyons is a four season fabulous resort. Prices are great and the golf course will increase summer traffic.

Speaking at a groundbreaking event Tuesday morning, Canyons Managing Director Mike Goar said he expects golfers to begin playing the course in 2013.

"Technically, the golf course construction is underway and will be underway in earnest next spring," Goar said. "It's been a long time coming, a lot of hard work by a lot of people."
